About the project, i.e. discover your potential under the guidance of a mentor
The University of Lodz mentorship project is a unique opportunity for individual, six-month cooperation with a mentor. The project's opening gala, scheduled for 7 December 2023, is an excellent opportunity for mentor pairs to get to know each other. What happens next? It depends on you and the goals you set together with your mentor. You can discuss your professional career path together. Cooperation may also pertain to the development of your personal competences – your needs are the determinant here. The meetings are held regularly for half a year, at least once a month in an agreed formula, online or on-site in an agreed place.
Who are the mentors and who will you cooperate with?
Mentors involved in the project include representatives of the world of business, culture and media. They are graduates of the University of Lodz who have achieved professional success, hold high positions in various organisations, experts in their fields. It is also crucial that they are people full of passion, commitment and open to sharing their experience and knowledge with you. Thanks to this, you have a unique opportunity to learn from the inside what the industry in which you would like to connect your professional future looks like. However, if you are looking for your path and struggling with doubts, development under the guidance of an experienced mentor is an excellent opportunity to dispel them.
Who is the project for?
Students from all faculties at the University of Lodz can participate in the project. You don't have to have excellent learning outcomes or spectacular achievements to cooperate with a mentor. Additional activities, of course, increase your chances, but it is important that you present yourself as well as possible during the recruitment process. Show your willingness to develop, ambition to reach for more and readiness to work on yourself.
How to apply?
- Choose the mentor you would like to cooperate with – their profiles are available on the website. As many as 35 mentors will take part in this edition.
- Fill in the application form by 12 November this year.
- Your applications will then be forwarded to mentors and they will select people who they can accompany in their development and provide support.
- We will inform you about the recruitment results by 24 November and we will publish a list of mentor pairs on the project website.
- The last step is a six-month adventure and development under the supervision of a mentor.
More information about the project is available in the Student Zone on the Mentorship Project website.
