Dr Maciej Malarski, the Dean's Representative for Management Education collected the diploma for the Polish American MBA Studies on behalf of the University of Lodz Faculty of Management. The Perspektywy 2024 MBA ranking is based on five criteria, containing a total of 28 indicators, which reflect the main aspects of MBA studies that are important for people deciding to pursue such studies. The indicators and weights included in the final classification have been developed by the Ranking Committee in consultation with the organisers of the MBA studies.
The presence of our studies in the ranking confirms the highest quality of management education at our university. Our studies took 13th place in the overall classification. In the category of substantive features of the studies, we took 8th place. This category includes assessment of the set of courses constituting the core of the MBA study curriculum, such as the number of classes, the number of hours of classes in a foreign language and, among other things, foreign mobility or requirements for the studies completion.
During the Forum of Management Education Leaders, the debate on what MBA study curricula are like and what they should be like was conducted from the perspectives of: employers (business perspective), directors of MBA studies (management education perspective) and rectors (broader academic perspective). The Chairwoman of the MBA Chapter, General Director of Microsoft Polska, emphasized that the quality of education translates into the quality of business and that the fundamental condition for business success is the type of graduates employed by Polish companies.
