Dni Otwarte na Uniwersytecie Łódzkim dla uczniów z Ukrainy

We are pleased to invite you to attend the Open Days for Students from Ukraine, which will be held on 2 April 2025 at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz and on 3 April 2025 online on the MS Teams platform. These are the second open days for Ukrainian youth organised by the University of Lodz. Last year's open days were attended by over 200 people.

Ukrainian Days at the University of Lodz are an event that aims to present the offer of studies at the University of Lodz for high school students from Ukraine, studying in Lodz and the region. During the event, students will be able to talk to students and graduates of the University of Lodz from Ukraine, they will be presented with the admissions rules for candidates from abroad, trends on the labour market and opportunities for career development in Lodz and Poland.

Programme of the Ukrainian Day at the Faculty of Management:

9:00 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. Opening of the Ukrainian Day by dr hab. Małgorzata Wrzesień, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, the University of Lodz Vice-Rector for Education, as well as representatives of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Lodz and the International Relations Office of the University of Lodz

9:10 a.m. – 9:40 a.m. Olha Menko, President of the Management Board of the Poland-Ukraine Institute Foundation, editor-in-chief of the UAinKrakow.pl portal will present Possibilities and advantages of studying in Poland for young people from Ukraine (in Ukrainian)

9:40 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. Mieczysław Pakosz, Ula Komarova, recruitment specialists at the International Relations Office of the University of Lodz will present the principles of qualifications and admissions conditions to high school students (in Ukrainian).

After the break, between 10:40 a.m. and 11:20 a.m., Dr Iwona Dembowska-Wosik, Representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Philology for conducting state certification exams in Polish as a foreign language, will give a mini-lecture entitled How to use Polish at a university?

In the last part we will talk about careers and the University of Lodz graduates. From 11:20 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Martyna Dębska, a specialist in career counselling and development of soft skills at the University of Lodz Career Office, will present the latest trends on the labour market in Lodz and the Career Office's offer for international students (in Polish), and from 11:50 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Artem Luhovyi, the University of Lodz graduate from the Prof. Jerzy Dietl Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, will talk about studies from the perspective of a student from Ukraine and career development opportunities. After the event, participants will have the opportunity to walk around the University of Lodz Campus, and the information stand on the patio of the University of Lodz Faculty of Management will be open all day.

Those who study in other cities, provinces or countries will be able to meet with us virtually on 3 April 2025 on the MS Teams platform. The online Ukrainian Day will start at 12:30 p.m. Polish time. It will be a shortened version of the on-site event.

Open Days for Ukrainian StudentsLast year’s Open Days for Students from Ukraine were attended by more than 200 people.  

 

Ukrainian Days at the University of Lodz is an initiative financed as part of the project entitled "Wzmocnienie potencjału rekrutacyjnego Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego oraz rozwój marki UŁ na wybranych rynkach edukacyjnych" [Strengthening the admissions potential of the University of Lodz and the development of the University of Lodz brand in selected educational markets] carried out by the University of Lodz and funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange within the the Welcome to Poland (2022) Programme, under the PPI/WTP/2022/1/00025/U/00001 agreement.
