Do you want to have influence on the future of European education and represent the University of Lodz in the international arena? Join the UNIC Student Board and work for better education and cooperation between 10 European universities! Applications are accepted until 31 October 2024.

The University of Lodz became a part of the European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition (UNIC) Alliance in 2022 – we are now looking for a person for the position of UNIC Student Board Representative at the University of Lodz.

This position is for you, if you want to:

  • shape the UNIC European University,
  • create a friendly environment for students that facilitates access to knowledge and provides opportunities for development,
  • be a part of an international community

What do people selected for the UNIC Student Board Representatives programme do?

  • they actively take part in Student Board meetings and carry out assigned tasks,
  • they participate in trips and gain experience in the international student government environment (travel expenses covered),
  • they attend various events, appear in the university's social media and are involved in various marketing projects that promote UNIC,
  • they maintain regular communication with representatives of the University of Lodz UNIC Office.

By representing the University of Lodz on the UNIC Student Board, you will make sure that the academic community learns about what is happening at UNIC, learns about interesting initiatives and builds increasingly stronger international ties.

Who can represent the University of Lodz on the UNIC Student Board?

  • a full-time BA student of the University of Lodz, starting from the second year,
  • a full-time MA student at the University of Lodz, starting from the first year,
  • a full-time uniform MA student, starting from the second year.

It is crucial to meet the above mentioned conditions, be active in the life of the university, for example, through activities in student associations, student science clubs or others, and be able to navigate the social media environment efficiently.

What increases your chances of representing the University of Lodz in the UNIC Student Board?

  • your English level (min. B2) allows you to communicate freely and understand the topics discussed during UNIC Student Board meetings,
  • you are easy to communicate with and have no problem maintaining relationships,
  • you are decisive in your actions,
  • you are willing to participate in international meetings (online and in person) and trips.

What do we offer in return for your commitment?

  • remuneration of PLN 800 gross per month,
  • exciting experience before starting your career: participating in trips, gaining experience in an international student government environment and participating in a major international project,
  • covered travel expenses, including those abroad,
  • a certificate of ambassadorial activities at UNIC for the University of Lodz, which may be valuable to your future employer
  • and, of course, a package of UNIC gadgets.
